Primary malignant mediastinal germ cell tumor in childhood

Despite the metastasis to lung, liver, brain and bone is possible but sternal metastasis is unusual. Both tumor and its metastases treated with surgical resection, if possible followed by chemotherapy. We present a case primary malignant germ cell tumor, which has metastasis to lung and to sternum. We performed complete tumor resection, metastasectomy, sternal resection and then reconstructed by titanium plate and polypropylene graft.
